The resources contained in the Hekman Library are fully wheelchair accessible. If you find that any part of the Library is not accessible to you, please make yourself known to us so that we can discuss your specific needs with you.
There are two entrances to the library, and both of these are wheelchair accessible.
-
The main entrance (see
Campus Map) is located at the eastern side of the
2nd Floor. Parking for disabled persons is available in the parking lot nearest the main entrance.
-
A second entrance to the library is located at the southern side of the
3rd Floor, through Hiemenga Hall.
Except for the stairwells and the restrooms on the 3rd and 4th floors, all areas of the Hekman Library are wheelchair accessible.
Because the some of the Library's shelves may not be accessible to you, we will locate and bring to you whatever materials you need. It will be helpful if where possible you are able to identify such material in advance, or if you notify us that you will be visiting the Library at a specific time and will need assistance. Please proceed to (or contact) the circulation desk for assistance, or contact Diane VanderPol for more information.
