GPO Access is a service of the U.S. Government Printing Office that provides free electronic access to a wealth of important information products produced by the Federal Government. The information provided on this site is the official, published version and the information retrieved from GPO Access can be used without restriction, unless specifically noted

FDsys wll be replacing GPO Access by the end of 2009, and will provide more sophiticated searching capabilities as well as authentication of information.

The Hekman Library is a selective depository library serving Michigan's third congressional district in the Federal Depository Library Program, and as such provides access either in a tangible format (paper, microfiche, CD-ROM) or electronic format to the Basic Documents recommended for depositories as well as to thousands of other government documents and information products.

More and more federal documents are being made available online. The following sites provide links to online versions:

• New Electronic Titles list on GPO Access gives a list of electronic titles by agency.
• The Federal Depository Library Program Electronic Collections is composed of primary data sources in full-text (such as Core Documents of U.S. Democracy) and secondary data sources or Finding Tools at GPO or at other official sites. • Federal Government Resources/Electronic Publications from the University of Michigan's Documents Center gives a list which is alphabetical by title.
• Migrating Government Publications from the Uncle Sam pages of the University of Memphis is a list of electronic publications by either title or Superintendent of Documents classification number. This page also provides links to similar sites.
• Web-only Documents cataloged by Western Illinois University Library.
• Government Internet Sites organized by Superintendent of Documents Classification Number maintained by the University of Illinois.
• DocuTicker is a daily update of new reports from government agencies, ngo's, think tanks, and other groups, compiled by the librarians who bring you ResourceShelf.com.
• Ben's Guide to United States Government for Kids, a K-12 educational resource that includes primary source documents from GPO Access as well as links to government web sites developed especially for elementary and secondary students.
