Write Night Draws More Students Than Ever

Write Night Draws More Students Than Ever

Continuing our tradition which began in March of 2016, the Rhetoric Center and Hekman Library hosted a late-night paper writing clinic on Wednesday, November 14, from 7 p.m. to midnight.

There were over 200 sign-ins, which is a new record! Every hour, writers took a break and waited for their name to be called to claim a prize. Prizes ranged from basic office supplies to $10 gift cards to Starbucks; some lucky winner got a whole platter of brownies!

Here you see Professor Karen Saupe, Director of the Rhetoric Center, announcing prize winners.

Write Night will come around again in the last half of April. We try to schedule it at the busiest time of the academic year when writing projects are due. We will let you know when the April date is set!
