NOTE Access Early American Imprints, Series I. Evans Online
The Early American Imprint collection is divided into two series, Evans (1639-1800) and Shaw-Shoemaker (1801-1819). These microform collections include virtually every non-serial title published in America between 1639 and 1819. Subject areas covered are history, literature, law, science, political science, music, theology, American studies and journalism. The Evans collection, or First Series, follows the sequential numbering system of Evans' American Bibliography. There are approximately 42,000 publications: almanacs, bibles, books, broadsides, charters and bylaws, cookbooks, maps, printed music, novels, pamphlets, plays, poems, primers, sermons, speeches, tract books, treaties, travelogues, and textbooks.
All titles can be found by searching WebCat. The item's call number will indicate the location of the item. For example, the item with the call number MIC EVANS 10025 will be found in the microfilm cabinet containing the Evans collection, under the number 10025.
