The Library of Thomas Jefferson is a microfiche reproduction of Jefferson's original library, which was purchased by the U.S. government in 1814 to form a new Library of Congress after the original one was burned in the War of 1812. It contains over 700 items dealing with history, philosophy, politics, medicine, religion, and many other subjects current in Jefferson's time.
