The Oxford English Dictionary, or OED as it's more popularly known, is a historical dictionary of English, covering the language from the earliest times to the present day. It aims to show not only the current meanings of words, but also to trace their development through time. Entries contain detailed etymological analysis, and are illustrated by quotations from a wide range of English language sources from around the world, making the OED a unique historical record. Available in print and in electronic version.
The Catholic Periodical and Literature Index Online is the product of a partnership between ATLA and the Catholic Library Association. It provides indexing of periodicals, essay collections, church documents, papal documents and electronic resources expressly addressing the practice and intellectual tradition of Roman Catholicism. It contains indexing from 1981 to the present and is updated quarterly.
This Text Revision incorporates information culled from a comprehensive literature review of research about mental disorders published since DSM-IV was completed in 1994. APIS is a collections-based repository hosting information about and images of papyrological materials (e.g. papyri, ostraca, wood tablets, etc) located in collections around the world. It contains physical descriptions and bibliographic information about the papyri and other written materials, as well as digital images and English translations of many of these texts.

EconLit provides citations and selected abstracts, and covers topics including regional and international economics, urban economics, economic development, fiscal and monetary theory, business and public finance.
Fulltext is available up to about a week ago. Searching for articles is possible for the entire NYT, but the actual article must be acquired through some other means. The library does have the entire NYT on microfilm. Ask at the Research Assistance Desk, 2nd floor.
