Gale’s Literary Index is a citation-only index to literary criticism and literary biography reference sets (no full text).
Hekman Library owns many of the indexed titles in print. You can find them in the main reference collection, 2nd floor. (See full annotation). Hekman provides online access to the full text of one of the largest sets: the Dictionary of Literary Biography.
The First Nations Periodical Index contains journal citations of mainly Canadian Native content. This Index is a tool providing access to information about First Nations for students, educators, instructors and researchers. It is a joint project of the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College, Saskatoon Campus, the Saskatchewan Indian Cultural Centre and the Library Services for Saskatchewan Aboriginal Peoples committee.
Expanded Academic ASAP includes scholarly journals as well as news magazines and newspapers with full text and images pertaining to arts, humanities, social sciences, and science and technology. It has coverage from 1980 to the present.
Essay and General Literature Index offers access to essays contained in numerous anthologies and collections, most of which are owned by Hekman Library. Coverage spans the entire range of the humanities and social sciences, including literary works, art history, drama, and film from 1985-current.
ERIC (Education Resources Information Center) is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education to provide extensive access to educational-related literature. ERIC provides coverage of journal articles, conferences, government documents, reports, bibliographies, directories, books and monographs.
Electronic Collections Online is a collection of peer-reviewed, full-text journal articles with images in a variety of subject areas including biology, chemistry, economics, mathematics, medicine, psychology, science and technology.
Education Abstracts offers a search of periodicals which meet the needs of education students, professionals, and policy makers, while still containing much of interest to the regular reader. Content areas include educational specialties, administration, funding and more.
EEBO contains page images of virtually every work printed in England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and British North America and works in English printed elsewhere from 1473–1700. EEBO covers more than 30 languages from Algonquin to Welsh.
Early Canadiana Online is a digital library of primary sources in Canadian history from the first European contact to the early 20th century. The collection is particularly strong in the subject areas of literature, women's history, travel and exploration, native studies and the history of French Canada.
Early American Imprints, Series I. Evans is a full-text collection of virtually every book, pamphlet and broadside published in America from 1639-1800. It is a definitive resource for researching every aspect of 17th- and 18th-century America.
Computer Database contains articles regarding computer-related product introductions, news, and reviews in areas such as hardware, software, electronics, engineering, communications, and the application of technology.
The CRCPI is an index to periodicals which are official publications of the Christian Reformed Church or its institutions, or periodicals which have a significant number of contributors who are affiliated with the CRC or its institutions including the Calvin Theological Journal and The Banner.
CMPI is an index of articles from Canadian music journals, newsletters and magazines provided by the Library and Archives Canada. The CMPI database indexes content dating from the late-19th century to the present day.
CARD provides access to articles, essays, and lectures dealing with John Calvin and Calvinism from the 16th century to the present. The database is interdisciplinary and international, containing scholarly material in English, French, and German, among other languages.
The Calvin Choral Music Database (CCMD) contains over 5,000 records that describe choral scores. The core of the database is Calvin College's choral music library. The database can be searched in a multitude of ways. Some of the more distinctive and interesting are by program notes, Biblical source, liturgical use, and instrumentation.

Biography Index Past and Present is a citation-only database that provides access to reliable information about notable individuals from all periods of history and walks of life, including present-day news-makers.
Biblegateway.com allows users to search the Bible in more than 70 languages and more than 180 versions. Its searching capabilities allow users to quickly find and compare particular passages in multiple Bible translations based on keywords, phrases, topics, and Scripture references.
The ARTFL corpus consists of texts spanning from the 12<sup>th</sup> through the 20<sup>th</sup> centuries, from classic works of French literature to various kinds of non-fiction prose and technical writing.
The ARTFL French Women Writers Project contains the full text of works by French women authors from the 16th to the 19th century. It is part of a larger effort through University of Chicago to preserve the heritage of the French Language. The main database of this project is ARTFL - FRANTEXT.

Contains indexing and abstracts for around 800 publications back to 1983, and full text from more than 220 periodicals dating back to 1997.
The Anthropological Index Online is a database of articles based on the journal holdings of the Anthropology Library at the British Museum. The index covers the subjects of socio-cultural and physical anthropology, archaeology, linguistics, and cultural ethnography, providing a broad geographical range of information in each topic.
American Rhetoric is a continually growing database of full text speeches delivered by presidents and political activists, actors, Christian leaders, authors, talk show hosts, and many famous historical figures.
The Association of Religion Data Archives (ARDA) hosts a collection of material includes data on churches and church membership, religious professionals, and religious groups (individuals, congregations, and denominations).
American FactFinder is an online source of U.S. Census information created by the United States Census Bureau. Data provided include population, housing, economic, and geographic information from the United States, Puerto Rico, and the Island Areas.
America: History and Life is the definitive bibliographic reference covering the history, culture, area studies, and current affairs literature of the United States and Canada, from prehistory to the present. It covers journal titles published worldwide and includes article citations and book/media reviews.

JSTOR is a database consisting of full-text articles from scholarly, peer-reviewed journals from nearly every discipline taught at Calvin. Coverage for each journal begins with the first volume, with coverage ending for most titles three and five years ago. A growing number of journals now have coverage up to the present!
AGRICOLA serves as the catalog and index of the U.S. National Agricultural Library. All aspects of agriculture and allied disciplines are covered. It is primarily a citation-only database with some full-text material.
