ICPSR acquires, preserves, enhances, and distributes original social science research data for research and instruction. In addition, ICPSR provides resources for training in quantitative analysis methods.
Independent Voices is a four-year project to digitize over 1 million pages from the magazines, journals, and newspapers of the alternative press archives of participating libraries. It is the inaugural product of Reveal Digital of Ann Arbor, Michigan. They are focusing on late-1960s underground/alternative press publications, whose authors include: “feminists, dissident GIs, campus radicals, Native Americans, anti-war activists, Black Power advocates, Hispanics, LGBT activists, the extreme right-wing press and alternative literary magazines".
The first electronic resource in Spanish, ¡Informe! is specifically designed to meet the research needs of Spanish-speaking users. More than 420 full-text Spanish language and bilingual sources from a wide range of subjects are indexed, including 15 key Latin American newspapers. The bilingual interface enables English or Spanish speakers to search with ease. Coverage is from 1994 to the present.
The Asian financial crisis of 1997 had major social and political consequences. This book analyzes the measures taken to mitigate the immediate effects of the crisis and explores issues related to Asian monetary stability.
The International Bibliography of the Social
Sciences (IBSS) is an essential online resource for social science and
