	Core Resources ABI/INFORM


	Research Databases (Consult this list for interdisciplinary databases) ABI/INFORM ABI/INFORM is a premier source of English language business, accounting and economics information from around the world. Over 1 million citations from 1971 to the present provide complete bibliographic information, indexing, informative abstracts, and selected full-text articles from more than 1,000 business journals. ABI/INFORM contains information on more than 60,000 companies as well as executive profiles, reports on market conditions, and in-depth case studies of global business trends. More than 350 of the database's sources are English-language titles published outside the U.S. View: Online American FactFinder Created by the United States Census Bureau, American FactFinder contains U.S. Census information since 1990. View: Online EconLit The research database of choice for economics majors. Provides citations and selected abstracts and covers topics including regional and international economics, urban economics, economic development, fiscal and monetary theory, business and public finance. View: Online Emerald E-Journals Emerald E-journals includes full-text access to over 100 international peer-reviewed journals pertaining to: business and management aspects of accounting, architecture, education, engineering, environmental management, food and nutrition, healthcare, hospitality, human resources, information and library, logistics and supply chains, operations and production, public sector, quality, and training. View: Online General Business File ASAP General Business File ASAP provides complete bibliographic information, abstracts or contents to over 20 million English language articles from approximately 3500 trade and academic publications from around the world. Includes analysis of company performance and activity, industry events and trends as well as the latest in management, economics and politics. View: Online JSTOR JSTOR is a database consisting of only full-text articles from interdisciplinary peer-reviewed journals. Journals are included on the basis of number of subscribers the journal has, citation analysis, recommendations from experts in the field, and the length of time that the journal has been published. Coverage for each title begins with the first publication, with most titles ending coverage between three and five years ago. View: Online LexisNexis Academic LexisNexis Academic is an extensive set of full-text electronic databases of news, business, company, and legal information. It contains major archives of federal and state case law, media transcripts, and other full-text material. For more information consult the LexisNexis Academic help documents and/or search tutorial. View: Online STAT-USA Contains vital economic, business, and international trade information produced by hundreds of separate offices and divisions of the U.S. Government. View: Online Annotation Wilson Business Abstracts Wilson Business Abstracts provides abstracts and some full-text articles from 866 international English-language business sources, covering accounting, finance, management, and small business since 1986. View: In Print Annotation Encyclopedia of Associations - AS22 .E5 This is an indispensable resource for identifying associations by industry, occupation, and interest. Each entry provides contact information and an abstract. View: In Print Annotation Encyclopedia of Industrial and Organizational Psychology - HF5548.8 .E498 2007 This 2 volume work edited by Steven G. Rogelberg and published by Sage, provides extensive coverage or I/O pscyhology, including many areas of interest to Human Resources and Organizational Development professionals, including subject like Job Performance Models, Organizational Behavior , and Employee Assistance Programs. Each essay is signed and includes a bibliography for futher reading. A good place to get acquainted with core concepts. View: In Print Annotation Social Science Encyclopedia - H41 .S63 2004 These 2 volumes provide a good general introduction to all of the social sciences; entries are arranged alphabetically, each with a bibliography and suggested further reading. S. government's statistical publications, but with great historical/trend data and very broad in scope. 	Web Sources BEOnline Plus The Library of Congress's catalog of business, economic, and related Web resources. View: Online Business Ethics; a bibliography Contains a wonderful bibliography of and links to materials on business ethics. There are more than 200,000 time series for which data (in Excel format) and custom charts can be retrieved.
