Locating Banner articles

CRCPI (small)  The Hekman Library maintains a databases called the Christian Reformed Church Periodical Index (CRCPI) which covers various CRC Publications, including The Banner. The library also has access to printed copies of The Banner from 1906 to the present (in Heritage Hall). On the open shelves, the library has bound volumes from 1926 to the present, and some volumes prior.

Where can I actually get a Banner article?

When you have a citation to an article in The Banner, there are three options available to you:

  1. Locate the Banner issue you need at one of these libraries.
  2. You can contact The Banner office at editorial@thebanner.org, or call them at 800-333-8300 or 616-224-0732. The Banner staff will try to locate the article and copy it for you. In exchange, you will be asked to send a $5 donation to The Banner to cover costs.
  3. You can contact your local public library and ask them to get the article through Interlibrary loan (ILL). You may wish to find information on your U.S. or Canadian local library.
