	Research Databases (Consult this list for interdisciplinary databases) ABI/INFORM ABI/INFORM is a premier source of English language business, accounting and economics information from around the world. Over 1 million citations from 1971 to the present provide complete bibliographic information, indexing, informative abstracts, and selected full-text articles from more than 1,000 business journals. ABI/INFORM contains information on more than 60,000 companies as well as executive profiles, reports on market conditions, and in-depth case studies of global business trends. More than 350 of the database's sources are English-language titles published outside the U.S. View: Online American FactFinder Created by the United States Census Bureau, American FactFinder contains U.S. Census information since 1990. View: Online Communication & Mass Media Complete Communication & Mass Media Complete incorporates the content of CommSearch and the Mass Media Articles Index along with other journals in communication and mass media to create a resource with scope and depth encompassing the breadth of the communication discipline. CMMC offers complete indexing and abstracts for over 370 journals and select coverage of 230 more for a combined coverage of over 600 titles. Full text articles are available for more than 240 journals. View: Online County and City Data Books at the Geostat Center, University of Virginia "This resource provides access to the 1944 through 2000 County and City Data Books. This service provides the opportunity to create custom printouts and/or customized data subsets (subsets only available for 1988-2000)." While the Federal Government offers this data online in pdf format and on CD in other data format, this site allows you to create customized reports for download into excel spreadsheets. Provides citations and selected abstracts and covers topics including regional and international economics, urban economics, economic development, fiscal and monetary theory, business and public finance. View: Online EDGAR: SEC Filings and Forms Extensive and reliable full text information about companies required by law to file forms with the U. S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), including financial performance, acquisitions, and major business initiatives. View: Online Emerald E-Journals Emerald E-journals includes full-text access to over 100 international peer-reviewed journals pertaining to: business and management aspects of accounting, architecture, education, engineering, environmental management, food and nutrition, healthcare, hospitality, human resources, information and library, logistics and supply chains, operations and production, public sector, quality, and training. View: Online General Business File ASAP General Business File ASAP provides complete bibliographic information, abstracts or contents to over 20 million English language articles from approximately 3500 trade and academic publications from around the world. Includes analysis of company performance and activity, industry events and trends as well as the latest in management, economics and politics. View: Online JSTOR JSTOR is a database consisting of only full-text articles from interdisciplinary peer-reviewed journals. Journals are included on the basis of number of subscribers the journal has, citation analysis, recommendations from experts in the field, and the length of time that the journal has been published. Coverage for each title begins with the first publication, with most titles ending coverage between three and five years ago. View: Online LexisNexis Academic LexisNexis Academic is an extensive set of full-text electronic databases of news, business, company, and legal information. 	Web Sources AnnualReports.com A free financial report service that offers PDF versions of company annual reports and HTML versions of their Form 10Ks, both of which are primary sources of financial information about a company. View: Online Annotation BEOnline Plus The Library of Congress's catalog of business, economic, and related Web resources. View: Online Annotation Best of the Best Business Web Sites This is an excellent resource. View: Online Annotation Business Ethics Article identifies web sites that deal with business ethics and corporate accountability. View: Online Business Ethics; a bibliography Contains a wonderful bibliography of and links to materials on business ethics. View: Online Annotation Business Plans and Profiles Index A guide compiled by the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh that "lists types of small businesses and a corresponding sample business plan, profile or book about the business with sources provided after each entry." Links are provided to many free online plans. Print resources identified are those housed in the Carnegie Library, but that may also be available at Hekman.
