WebCat Search Hints

- Subject-specific hints for searching the library catalog

For a general guide to searching WebCat, the library's online catalog, see the library's guides Searching WebCat-Basic or Searching WebCat-Advanced. Here are some representative formats for subject headings relevant to Dutch Language topics:

  • Dutch language -- Dictionaries
  • Duch language -- History
  • Dutch language -- Study and teaching
  • Dutch language -- Syntax

A good way to find specific LC Subject Headings is to use WebCat to look up the bibliographic record of a book on your topic. Read the description and information in that record. Near the end of that information several LC Subject Headings will be given as links. If you click on these, the catalog will lead you to other books on that topic.
