WebCat Search Hints

- Subject-specific hints for searching the library catalog

Try various subject headings, like the following:

  • Education--United States--Philosophy (you can substitute other country names)

For books and other materials on Christian education, it may be helpful to consult the Ministry Resource Center, or MRC. The main call number for this topic is BV1464.

Also, try subject headings that describe specific philosophies of or approaches to education, such as Constructivism. In addition, try personal name subject headings, such as Paolo Freire. (In this last case, it's best to do a browse subject search and to type the last name first: "Freire, Paolo").
