The GeoRef database, established by the American Geological Institute, covers the geology of North America from 1693 to the present and the geology of the rest of the world from 1933 to the present. The database includes references to all publications of the U.S. Geological Survey. The database contains over 2.6 million references to geoscience journal articles, books, maps, conference papers, reports and theses.

GeoRef In Process
Contains bibliographic citations, some of which include abstracts, that
are in the process of being indexed prior to their integration into the
main GeoRef database. The bulk originate from non-English
language geoscience literature that was not necessarily published
recently. To perform the most comprehensive search, it is recommended
that you select both GeoRef and GeoRef In Process. Coverage: Varies.

JSTOR is a database consisting of only full-text articles from interdisciplinary peer-reviewed journals. Journals are included on the basis of number of subscribers the journal has, citation analysis, recommendations from
experts in the field, and the length of time that the journal has been
published. Coverage for each title begins with the first publication, with most titles ending coverage between three and five years ago.
