Covers over 1,700 journal titles published worldwide and includes article citations and book/media reviews of special interest to historians of United States and Canadian history and related fields.

Early Canadiana Online


A digital library of primary sources in Canadian history from the first European contact to the early 20th century. The collection is particularly strong in the subject areas of literature, women's history, travel and exploration, native studies and the history of French Canada.

H-NET Reviews


H-Net Reviews is an online scholarly review source for books in the Humanities and Social Sciences. H-Net Reviews are published online via discussion networks and the H-Net web site. This format permits reviews to reach scholars with a speed unmatched in any other medium and makes possible discussion between reviewers, authors and readers.

JSTOR


JSTOR is a database consisting of only full-text articles from interdisciplinary peer-reviewed journals. Journals are included on the basis of number of subscribers the journal has, citation analysis, recommendations from experts in the field, and the length of time that the journal has been published. Coverage for each title begins with the first publication, with most titles ending coverage between three and five years ago.

A scholarly national biography, with approximately 8000 entries on people who helped in the formation of Canada and who died between the years 1000 and 1930.Fully searchable, with detailed bibliographic information for each entry.

Encyclopedia of the North American Colonies

Covers colonial North America from the Norse settlements (c.1000) through aspects of nineteenth-century New Mexico and Alaska, including non-English colonies. 247 topical essays in three volumes, with good cross-referencing and bibliographies.

Historical Atlas of Canada

- G1116 .S1 H57 1987
A three-volume thematic historical atlas, completed in 1993. For an ongoing project to digitize large portions of this atlas, see the Historical Atlas of Canada Online Learning Project.

Historical Statistics of Canada


Contains about 1,088 statistical tables on the social, economic and institutional conditions of Canada from the start of the Confederation in 1867 to the mid-1970s. This is an electronic reprint of the 2d edition of Historical Statistics of Canada, jointly produced by the Social Science Federation of Canada and Statistics Canada in 1983.
