Featured Resource: "Great Lakes, Great People" Video Series

In 2009, inspired by the centennial of Daniel Burnham’s Plan of Chicago, Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill’s City Design Practice crafted a 100-year vision to outline measures to protect the Great Lakes and promote sustainable development in the region. SOM engaged experts from more than 40 organizations to help shape the future of the Great Lakes. A 15-part video series tells the stories, each offering a unique perspective on the opportunities and challenges associated with the region.

Below there is a short video featuring Jerry Adelmann, President of Open Lands, a regional land conservation group based in Chicago.
