Frisian and Dutch Literature - Recent Additions

Frisian and Dutch Literature - Recent Additions

Hekman Library has always had a very wide and deep collection of literature books in English, but we've also carefully selected and made available literature in many differerent languages. It's no surprise that with the college's strong Dutch roots, Dutch would be a valued language here.

Recently our catalogers have worked on Frisian and Dutch books to bolster and enrich our foreign language literature collections. You can find these books in the new book area on the 3rd floor, but they won't stay there for long. Look for call numbers PF1531 (Friese) and PT5880 and onward (Dutch) on the 5th floor.

If you know either Frisian or Dutch, give one or two of these new novels or poetry collections a try. If you're hankering to learn, talk with one of our librarians, and we'll point you in the right direction. There are many helps online, both free and for a moderate cost, that can help with language learning.
