Genealogy at Heritage Hall

Welcome

West Michigan has a rich history of Dutch immigration dating back to the mid-19th century. The early settlers in this region played a significant role in establishing institutions such as the Christian Reformed Church of North America, Calvin University, and Calvin Theological Seminary. Heritage Hall serves as the repository for all three of these institutions, and as such, we offer a wealth of in-house resources for those interested in exploring the history of Dutch Americans.

Our archives contain an extensive collection of historical records, manuscripts, photographs, and artifacts that allow visitors to immerse themselves in the rich cultural heritage of this community. Whether you are a seasoned genealogist or simply interested in learning more about your family's past, Heritage Hall is here to help you uncover the stories that shaped our region's unique identity.
