Reference Service Hours - Summer 2019 (May 20 - August 30)
Basic questions about the library and resources can be answered by the Circulation Staff at the Checkout Desk on 2nd floor.
If you have a research question, the Circulation Staff will direct you to a librarian. You also have the option of filling out our Ask a Librarian email form (details below).
A librarian generally will be available from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Phone: 616-526-6307; your call will be immediately forwarded to the main Circulation Desk and either answered there or sent on to a librarian who can answer. Please give your contact information so we can follow up, if need be.
- Text a librarian: 616-214-3355. Text us when the chat feature is "live" and you'll get a quick response. When chat is not "live" you may still leave a message. We will follow up by retuning the call later.
- Email: fill out a form and submit it; a librarian will respond within 2 hours. This applies to only Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Librarians are not available on the weekends. If you submit a question on Friday afternoon after 5 p.m. it may not be answered until Monday morning.
