Critically Evaluating Your Sources

Your Google search returned millions of results.  Or maybe you went to a library database or the catalog, and you still got hundreds of books or articles. Your professor warned you to only use "peer-reviewed" or "scholarly" sources. Oh, and they have to be "authoritative" and "unbiased."  What do all those terms mean? How do you isolate the best sources for your research?

This guide will answer these questions and help you critically evaluate all types of sources, from websites to books and articles.
