Heritage Hall serves as the institutional repository for Calvin University, Calvin Theological Seminary, and the Christian Reformed Church of North America. 

The Manuscript Collection contains the unpublished papers of individuals, and organizations that relate to topics that include the history of Calvin University, the Christian Reformed Church, and Dutch immigration. 

In addition to archival material, Heritage Hall also houses the rare book collections of Hekman Library. Access to rare books is provided within the Heritage Hall reading room.
