My Account allows you to see the status of your Hekman Library account. With it, you can view what library items you have currently checked out and when they are due; your account also lists holds, fines, overdue items, and allows you to Quick Renew items online.

To access your library account, use this My Account link (also found at the top of the library catalog). For university students, faculty, and staff, enter your Calvin username and password to log in, or see alternative log-in instructions for guests, alumni, and Calvin Seminary students and faculty below.

When prompted for a library login, please follow these instructions:

Guests and alumni - As of summer 2024, we have a new catalog system which uses your e-mail address to login.

• For the first time logging in to this new system, you should choose the "Alumni & Guests" option, and select the "reset password" link to create your own password. (If you are having trouble with this process, please contact library staff for assistance.)
• Note that guest users do not have access to research databases from off-campus, but alumni can still access certain databases (see this page for database login info).

Calvin Seminary students, staff, and faculty - Use your Populi username and password to get access to your library account and Hekman databases. For MeLCat logins, use your name and Populi ID #. 

When logging into your library account and Hekman databases, just use your Calvin username and passphrase to authenticate. (Note that when accessing databases, you want to start on the library homepage to be prompted for this login.)
