My Account allows you to see the status of your Hekman Library account. With it, you can view what library items you have currently checked out and when they are due; your account also lists holds, fines, overdue items, and allows you to Quick Renew items online.

To access your library account, use this My Account link (also found at the top of the library catalog). For university students, faculty, and staff, enter your Calvin username and password to log in, or see alternative log-in instructions for guests, alumni, and Calvin Seminary students and faculty below. 

When prompted for a library login, please follow these instructions:

Guest users and alumni - Use your guest library card barcode as both username and password for logging into the catalog. Guest users do not have access to research databases from off-campus, but alumni can access certain databases by logging into their library account and opening the "Alumni Resources" tab.

Calvin Seminary students, staff, and faculty - Use your ID barcode number as both username and password. Be sure to use the entire 14-digit number, including the initial and trailing zeros (e.g., 00000999999900).

Research Assistance
Hekman librarians offer remote research assistance via a number of options, including phone, e-mail, text, and live-chat. We can also meet with you individually by appointment (over Teams, Zoom, or your chosen videoconferencing platform). Consult the library's Research Services page for details.

Remote Online Access
If you're off-campus, you can access the library's online resources by starting at the library home page, and entering your Calvin username and passphrase when prompted (follow the alternative instructions above if you are a Seminary student off-campus).
